Terms of Use
Version 1.0, effective 7 September 2026.
What this is
FixIt! is maintenance management software supplied by Bateman IT Solutions to the
organisation you work for. These terms cover your use of it. Your employer has
a separate agreement with us covering the service itself.
Your account
Your account is issued by your employer's administrator and is personal to you.
Do not share your password or let anyone else work under your account.
Actions taken under your account are recorded as yours, and are signed as yours.
That record is used to decide who approved, completed or cancelled work. If you
think someone else has used your account, tell your administrator immediately.
Using it properly
You agree to record work honestly and accurately. Specifically: do not record
work that was not done, do not sign for work you did not carry out or authorise,
and do not enter false odometer readings or trip details in the vehicle logbook.
These records are used for compliance, insurance, tax and payment purposes, and
falsifying them may be a criminal offence as well as a disciplinary matter.
Do not upload anything unlawful, or photograph people without reason.
Signatures
Where the app asks you to sign, drawing your signature has the same intent as
signing on paper. You are confirming that what is described actually happened
and that you authorise it.
Availability
We work to keep the service running but cannot promise it will never be
unavailable. The app keeps working offline for many tasks and syncs when the
connection returns, but you should not rely on it for anything time-critical to
safety.
Records belong to your employer
The maintenance records, photos and logs created in the app belong to the
organisation you work for, not to you and not to us. Your employer decides who
may access them and for how long they are kept.
Limits
The software is supplied as-is to you as a user. To the extent the law allows,
we are not liable to you personally for loss arising from your use of it. This
does not affect any rights you have against your employer, or their agreement
with us, and nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
If you leave
Your access ends when your employer deactivates your account. The records of
work you did remain, because they form part of your employer's operational and
audit history.
Changes
If these terms change materially, you will be asked to accept the new version
next time you open the app. Continuing to use the app after that means you
accept them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
